PDFLoveMe is built around a simple promise: your documents never leave your device. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Files you process

Every tool on PDFLoveMe runs entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. When you merge, split, rotate, convert, encrypt or compress a PDF, the file is read and processed locally on your computer or phone. We do not upload, receive, store, or have any access to your files. There is no server-side processing.

Information we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics of any kind — not Google Analytics, not a self-hosted alternative, not a counting pixel. We cannot tell you how many people used a tool today, because we do not measure it.

The site is served by GitHub Pages, which like any web host keeps its own request logs. That is outside our control and is the only record that a visit happened at all.

Advertising

There is none. This page previously said we might show Google AdSense; the ad code was removed in August 2026 and no advertising network was ever active on the site. If that ever changes, this section will be rewritten before any ad code goes live, not after.

Cookies & local storage

We set no cookies at all, and as of August 2026 the site writes nothing to localStorage or sessionStorage either. There was one key, pdfloveme_tier, left over from a paid tier that was never built; it and the code reading it have been removed. If you visited before then, your browser may still hold that key — nothing reads it now, and clearing site data removes it.

Third parties

The pages load no script, stylesheet, font or image from any other domain. Typefaces were served by Google Fonts until August 2026 and are now hosted here, so no third party learns that you visited.

Data security

Because files are processed locally and never transmitted, there is no document data for us to secure on a server. For encryption, choose a strong password; we never see it and cannot recover it.

Children's privacy

PDFLoveMe is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
